First heard this a few times on the radio in 1970 when the album Open Up The Door was released, Shoeshine Boy, a track on the album, was released as a single with My Apartment as its B-side, also taken from the album. Somehow, it stuck in my mind all this time. now, thanks to the good ol’ internet, I can hear it again.

A word about the personnel, The Humblebums consisted of two guys who went on to greater fame, Billy Connolly as a comedian and Gerry Rafferty with hits under his own name and with his band Stealers Wheel.
