Fundies Say The Darndest Things

Fundies Say The Darndest Things

For colossal laughs and jaw dropping amazement at the sheer depths of human depravity take a look at the huge collections of stupidity and banal evil collected from other parts of the web and archived on Fundies Say The Darndest Things, FSTDT. Much of the inhumanity and idiocy comes from fundamentalist religious cults that seem to specialize in turning their members into brainless barbarians or brainless sheep, but other forms of imbecility are also catered for. There are large sections devoted to conspiracy theorists, Conspiracy Theorists Say The Darndest Things, CTSTDT, and racists, Racists Say The Darndest Things, RSTDT,

The way it works is that people search fundamentalist and racist websites and forums to find boneheaded quotes which are submitted to FSTDT and posted in the relevant section. The site is updated every day and the supply of stupidity never seems to diminish. Apart from enjoying the moronic posts themselves, many of which will have you splitting your sides, you can also read the comments associated with each one, they can also be hilarious. And if you feel you have something to add, you can add your own comment too, I’ve added many myself. It’s a brilliant idea and a brilliant site. Take a look and be prepared to be hooked. Make sure you’ve got plenty of time available to you because you’re going to have difficulty pulling yourself away. Let the laughter commence.

Screwed World

Screwed World

If you enjoy laughing at and reading about the massive fail of assorted prediction chumps through the ages then this site is for you. It’s The End Of The World As We Know It …Again is wittily written by Alma Geddon, and a hilarious read, it tells of the idiotic prognosticating of various doom mongers throughout history, from 633 BC through to 2003 AD, and of the inevitable failure of their measly predictive powers, obviously. Copious laughter and relentless mocking is the order of the day. Brilliant site. The only pity is that I don’t think it is updated any more.

Prediction Chump

Prediction Chump

I’d like to start with a prophecy, and that is that all the waffle foretelling craziness to happen at winter solstice, December 21, 2012 AD is in fact, just that, waffle, and the predicted events won’t happen at all, and I don’t even know what those events are. I can’t be bothered to find out, it’s a waste of seconds. Now that’s what I call prophetic. This will prove that my forecasts are far better than the cranks’ predictions with regard to future events when, as I foretell, nothing happens. Pule Thamex beats all the deranged and self-important cranks, mystics, wizards, witches, prognosticators, frauds, con-men and snake-oil salesmen, into a cocked hat.

Big deal, you’re thinking, anyone with half a brain could predict that. And you’d be right. Anyone with half a brain could quite easily predict that. Does this mean that the above list of prognosticators and cranks have less than half a brain? What about the people who believe the cranks, what fraction of a brain do they have? Presumably less than half. Hey, this is cool. I’m really digging my own straw man here. Whoopee!

Anyway, before I get too carried away, I’d just like to say, “Take that cranks, we’ll soon see who’s right in a few years”.
